On Sunday, June 8th, the 1st Fiat 500 Rally took place in Senigallia, touring the Mivola Valley. The rally was organized by myself, the new representative of the local coordination committee. In front of the renowned Roundabout at Sea Over 60 Fiat 500s colored the Velvet Beach in Senigallia.
The beautiful day began with the delivery of welcome bags and a postcard (A Fiat 500 strolling through the Senigallia hinterland) with a subsequent postmark taken care of by theAssociation "Mark-Philatelic Cultural Initiatives"; breakfast by the sea at the Bar People by Terrazza Marconi, then free visit to the city and to an exhibition of paintings (500 theme) at theAugusto Bellanca Association curated by the artist Mauro Penzo.
Around 12 we left for the tourist tour during which, parading with our "twin-cylinder", we were able to admire the beauty of the seafront and the hills of Senigallia, then arriving in the hamlet of San Silvestro near the “Freccia Azzurra” Restaurant; here the crews enjoyed a delicious fish-based lunch and concluded the day with awards, thanks, photos and greetings from the various crews.
My first event organized in Senigallia has met with an unexpected success among participants, public and enthusiasts, so I thank the Municipality of Senigallia and Val Mivola for their patronage, trustee Donatella Sambuchi from Pesaro, Maurizio Senigagliesi from Fermo/Ascoli and Andrea Baldini from Montalcino for their presence, all the participating 16th century runners and theOmphalos Autism and Families Association.
Special thanks go to my wife and the members who helped make the event a success. I hope to see you again next year for the 2nd Fiat 500 Rally on tour in Val Mivola.
