The 29th Prato City Rally took place on Sunday, September 14, 2025, organized by the Prato Coordination. This year's meeting was held at the Parco Prato Shopping Center, strongly supported by director Francesco Scatizzi, whom we thank immensely for his availability and especially for offering us so many products that were included in the welcome bags. As usual, on Saturday, two of our beautiful red 500s were put on display, those of members Luigi Colosimo and Fabrizio Fiordi.
All crews were given a rich welcome bag with food products and other gadgets offered by the sponsors, breakfast was offered by the organization at the Pascucci BarWe also want to thank Claudio Bigiarini and Claudia Drovandi, who never failed to support us. A particularly emotional moment for me was when our friend Stefano Felci arrived, because he owns the 500 that belonged to our dear and unforgettable friend Antonio Bartolini.
At 10,30 the parking spaces at our disposal were already full of colourful 500s; most of the crews arrived from Toscana, but there was no shortage of friends from Emilia Romagna, Lombardy and Lazio.
Skillfully escorted by both the Municipal Police—and we thank Deputy Commander Fabio De Simone for his generous assistance—and the young couriers of the Prato Coordination Committee, we left Parco Prato at 11:00 a.m., precisely as scheduled. We rode our brightly colored Fiat 500s through the city streets. Everyone we met on the street, especially the children, smiled broadly and took the opportunity to take photos and send greetings.
After crossing a small part of the city, you arrive in the hamlet of Castelnuovo, at the local club to enjoy a delicious aperitif. After this refreshing stop, we continue to the restaurant, whose name says it all: IKKE C'E' C'E'…. We thank Sauro and the very young chef Sofia for the excellent and abundant lunch served to us by the excellent waiters.
Between courses, there was a generous distribution of prizes, all donated by our sponsors, whom we continue to thank enormously.
When the dessert arrived we also had the opportunity to celebrate two birthdays, one from our member Maurizio Addati and the other from the husband of Pisa member Chiara Lora.
The presence of various Coordinations and two regional representatives (Federica Gabba for Emilia Romagna and Fabio Grosso for Lazio) filled us with great pride; we thank the trustees Aurelio Bertini of Follonica, Antonio Proia of Monte Amiata, Edo Caliani of Siena, Giovanni Nocentini of Valdarno and southern Florence, and Vincenzo Giordano of Empoli and Val d'Elsa. The members of the Coordination Committees of Pisa, Pistoia, Capalbio, Lucca, and Florence were also present.
At the end of the lunch, as a "party favor," but above all as a thank you for participating, we gave out a delicious Finocchiona from Felici Salumi.
We thank again all the sponsors of the event, but above all the participants, theMunicipal Administration and the Municipal Police Force of Prato, the Parco Prato Shopping Centre, and all the others who made this beautiful gathering possible; finally, a special mention for our relays, led by the young Vespa relay teams, who were truly exceptional!
