42nd Meeting: between technique, culture and… Sicily

The 500 in Toirano, destination of the Grand Tour

The second day of the Fiat 500 International Meeting in Garlenda began with a focus on culture and technical analysis. The usual “talk show”, hosted by 4PiccoleRuote director Stefania Ponzone, began with interventions by Enrico Bo and Carlo Giuliani on the peculiarities of the 500 F, which is celebrating its sixtieth anniversary. Following, Roberto Chiodi and Fabio Longo told the most interesting anecdotes of the participation of the 500 “Lucia” at the Beijing-Paris 2025 which, as they were keen to point out, became the “Peking-Paris-Garlenda” to allow the little car to take part in the big rally with its sisters. Finally, the official presentation of the book “When there was the 500”, by Giovanni Orsini and Alessandro Dragone, a sort of “diary”, somewhere between the historian and the technician, full of curiosities and characters, of the 500 from the moment of its design to the end of production.
In the afternoon the bad weather messed up the program a bit, but the 1600 runners still managed to carry out the Grand Tour with destination Toirano. Postponed and moved location “Sicily in celebration”, but at the time of writing this evening remains confirmed. We are waiting for you!
