Firstª The last edition of AME was held from October 23rd to 26th at the Bologna exhibition center, where our Club's stand welcomed many visitors: members, trustees and regional representatives, national councilors, but also simple enthusiasts, who came to admire the cars on display and to receive information about the association. There were many ideas for approach our space: ask about the association's activities and the services offered, including access to ASI certifications, joining or renewing your membership, and why not purchase the various merchandise on display.
The stand setup celebrated 60 years of the 500 F exhibiting 4 500 “8 bolts” from 1965: the red 500 F from Roberto Dall'Asta; the grey 500 F of Roberto Pini; the white 500 F Giannini of Vincenzo Palombi (see also “4PiccoleRuote” November/December, page 44) present at the fair with the three generations of his family with the customized clothing created for the occasion; the aquamarine 500 F of Massimo Zucchelli, whose display at the stand gave birth to a friendship between the owner and the partner Joseph Chiapatti of Bologna, who kept it in his garage in the days before and after the fair. Members and visitors were welcomed by a team composed of myself, the vice president Alessandro Vinotti, from the regional representative for Veneto Bruno Masato and by the regional representative for Lazio Fabio Grosso, supported by the honorary president Stelio Yannouliyes, from the trustee Claudio Calzolari and the Elizabeth Tonelli of the Bologna Coordination.
On Saturday 25th at 11am at the Club stand and at 17pm at the ASI stand our members Giovanni Orsini and Alessandro Dragone, with an introduction by Stelio Yannoulis, presented their book “When There Was a 500,” telling many anecdotes related to the car and the years in which it was the car of all Italian families and answering the many questions from the public.
On Sunday 26th at 11am at the ASI stand the presentation of the book dedicated to the enterprise which took place in spring 2025 was also held, the “Beijing-Paris” Raid aboard the Fiat 500 of San Marino Tourism Minister Federico Pedini Amati, customized with photos of panoramas of the Republic of San Marino and driven by the crew composed of journalist Roberto Chiodi and Dr. Fabio Longo, who with Chiodi already competed in the 97 Beijing-Paris race.
All members were able to count on the presence at the fair of numerous Friend Point of the Club, who have dedicated themselves with skill and passion to explaining and advising on the use and application of the various spare parts requested.
