The day took place on Sunday 19 October 2025 “Start life by donating your blood” organized by the Pisa representative of the Fiat 500 Club Italia Vincent Abundance and from the Vespa Club Pontedera in the presence of the president Blessed Macchi.
In the early hours of the morning a delegation of Cinquecento and Vespa riders reached theCisanello University Hospital for a blood donation. The transfusion department then offered breakfast to all participants. Thanks to some sponsors in the province of Pisa (SERadioelettronica, Macelleria Balestri, and Grafikart), welcome bags were given to the donors.
After the ritual photos and having delivered a commemorative plaque to the representatives of the Transfusion Centre, at mid-morning the procession made up of small twin-cylinder bikes and Vespas crossed the city of the Leaning Tower to reach the Historical Museum of the Airborne Troops, parking inside the barracks.
Under the watchful guidance of the "Folgore" military personnel, the history of military parachuting was presented, from its inception to the present day. Club pennants were handed out, and museum representatives reciprocated with a very significant object: the carabiner from which paratroopers' lives literally hang during jumps.
Subsequently the caravan set off again towards Acciaiolo (PI) where, at The Busti Family's Il Rifocillo Restaurant, the crews were delighted by the gastronomic specialties, especially by an excellent “Cacio e Pepe” pasta served in a cheese wheel specially opened for the occasion.
During lunch it was delivered to the member Biagio Leone A gift for the countless kilometers traveled on a 500 this year. Trustee Abbondanza also presented President Macchi with a charming gift featuring his Vespa. At the end of the lunch, those attending were treated to a dessert offered by the two associations, personalized with the event's logos, capping off a wonderful day of solidarity.
