Members' meeting and lunch of greetings for the Fiat 500 Club Italia

Yesterday, Sunday 4 December 2022, the annual meeting of the members of the Fiat 500 Club Italia was held. The meeting started at 10 am at the Multimedia Museum of the 500 “Dante Giacosa”.

Many of the trustees and members had arrived in Garlenda the day before, to ensure their punctual presence at the morning meeting and to take advantage of more time to spend with friends who had come from the north, centre and south of Italy.

The museum hall was full of members, who had come from many Italian regions, curious to follow the Club's news. After the telephone greetings from the president Maurizio Giraldi from Rome, Domenico Romano, founder, took the floor to thank all those present (about 120) for their loyalty and great affection that the massive presence shows. Among the audience were not only members, but also authorities of institutions that are always close to the association, such as the Municipality of Garlenda, represented by the deputy mayor Alessandro Navone, Annalisa Fossa of the Liguria Region, Giancarlo Tassistro of the ProLoco of Garlenda and Giacomo Guerrera, past president of Unicef. colomba

The meeting took place in a joyful atmosphere, moving through the agenda items with interesting ideas and participation from everyone. The 2021 Budget was approved, illustrated by Samantha Simone with great precision; the importance of the ASI federation, underlined by the National Technical Commissioner Enrico Bo, who also presented the event in the ASI Calendar organized by the Fiat 500 Club Italia for the month of June 2023, “Angoli di Torino”. Carlo Giuliani, ASI councilor, wanted to reinforce Enrico's speech, complimenting him on the Turin event which will demonstrate the attention that our Club intends to give above all to the historical, cultural and technical aspects linked to the historic 500. Vice President Alessandro Vinotti then took the floor to summarize the Garlenda Meeting last July, a great restart after 2 years of forced absence. Ugo Elio Giacobbe, curator of the Museum, spoke about the recent publication of the ASI book “Sulla strada dei Musei”, in which Dante Giacosa also appears with great pride. Teresio Parodi, ambassador of “La Band Degli Orsi” of Genoa, gave Ugo a special model for the Museum, created on the occasion of the charity rally in Genoa. Each regional representative and trustee then took the floor to greet them and briefly illustrate their projects for the near future. The floor then went to the “Gruppo Giovani in 500”, represented at the meeting by Luca Achilli and Andrea Pititto, who with other under 35s are bringing together the youngest members of the Club, involving them in experiencing the 500 from the point of view of the new generations, always with the intent of carrying on the love for the historic car.

At the end of the meeting, the traditional Best Wishes Lunch was held at the Hotel Aida in Alassio. Beautiful hours, spent with a smile on everyone's face, thanks to the friendly, enthusiastic and happy atmosphere, made even more joyful by the entertainment of the fantastic team of Eccoci, Marco Dottore and Enzo Antinoro, who with songs, dances and gags, made the day unforgettable. Two moments were also dedicated to solidarity: the first through the presentation of the book of Poems by Mara Rossi, whose proceeds helped two charities aimed at research: the second with the delivery into the hands of Giacomo Guerrera and Colomba Tirari of the check to UNICEF representing the sum collected this year in favor of the noble non-profit organization for which the Fiat 500 Club Italia is proudly Testimonial.
