DALLARA ACADEMY
La Dallara Academy It is an educational and exhibition center created in a boldly designed structure, to share and transmit – according to the idea of the founder Giampaolo Dallara – the heritage of skills developed in 46 years of activity and to introduce visitors to the history and cars of Dallara.
La Dallara Academy, commissioned by Engineer Giampaolo Dallara, is spread over two floors connected by a large curved glass ramp that can be walked on. On the ground floor there are spaces dedicated to welcoming the public and laboratories for schools, while the first floor hosts the area dedicated to university training MUNER and the auditorium. The particular structure of the building is designed as a "harmonious set of mechanical parts", where each constituent element has a specific function. The basic idea is to share the company's skills with the outside: this intent is represented by the originality of the building itself - characterized by a curved wall with a glass cut on the horizon and by three cones that contain the distribution elements of the complex and the university classrooms - with the landscape of the Val Ceno embracing it. The design and construction of the Dallara Academy were entrusted to Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia, winner of the private competition by invitation announced to identify the architecture that best translated the client's ideas into work.
The architecture was awarded in September 2017 as Best Building Under Construction at the ABB Leaf Awards, a competition that has been held for 16 years and recognizes the winning projects as benchmarks for the future of the industry.
VISIT DALLARA ACADEMY
The visit to the Dallara Academy allows you to immerse yourself in Motorsport, to discover the details of the cars that have marked the history of the company and to perceive the importance of passion and training in the world of racing.
The exhibition ramp hosts the cars that have marked the history of the Engineer Dallara first, and of Dallara Automobili later: from the Miura to the X19, the Indycars that race in the United States, from the Le Mans prototypes to series such as Formula 3 and Formula E, to arrive at the latest born “Dallara Stradale”. The visitor will immerse themselves in a walk through the history of innovation and technology, observing high-performance racing and road cars up close, without ever losing contact with the surrounding environment, thanks to the large glass window that follows the trajectory of the entire ramp. This is the connecting area between the two floors of the Dallara Academy, always open to visitors, individuals or groups, with the possibility of being accompanied by a guide. Guided tours are available, upon reservation, in the following languages: Italian, English and French.
Members of the Fiat 500 Club Italia are entitled to a discounted price for guided tours of both the museum and the company departments.
