The Coordination Committee has had an intense year, packed with events that brought together motorsports, local communities, and social commitment. A journey marked by enthusiasm, participation, and a constant presence in local communities, with initiatives that showcased the automotive tradition while also supporting important solidarity projects.
Engines on display: exhibitions throughout the area. The autumn season opened with the participation in the car show at the Casalguidi FairThanks to the invitation from our friend and city councilor Patrizia La Pietra and Mayor Piero Lunardi, we also thank Commander Nicola Bruni and his colleagues from the municipal police. This event attracted enthusiasts and the curious, offering the opportunity to share the culture of classic cars and the work of the Coordination Committee. An emotional end to September, with participation in the company's 50th anniversary. Auto Parts from Pistoia: the presence of our 500s was a great pleasure for the guests to admire.
Great emotion also for the exhibition organized at the Italian Red Cross Pistoia provincial branch, where the Coordination Committee decided to be present to celebrate the donation made for the purchase of a new ambulance, a concrete gesture of support for the community.
Tradition was not lacking: for the first year, the iconic Fiat 500s were the protagonists at the Momigno Ballet Festival, bringing color and charm to one of the most heartfelt celebrations in the area.
The Coordination proudly represented its territory even outside the province, participating in the prestigious Vintage Car and Motorcycle Fair in Bologna, with a visit to our Club's stand. The presence with a stand dedicated to the Tuscany Auto Collection, which was held at the former Breda cathedral in Pistoia, where members and visitors were able to meet, exchange experiences and share their passion for historic vehicles.
Solidarity that leads the way. Alongside the motorsport events, the Coordination confirmed its commitment to social issues. The traditional day of “Search in 500”, organized in a festive and collaborative spirit, allowed us to raise funds for charity.
Also important is the contribution to FIGC Pistoia scholarship, dedicated to deserving kids who stand out in the football-study combination: a way to support young people and their talents.
As has been happening for five years now, on December 8th the Coordination renewed the delivery of food material to theSolidarity Emporium of Caritas, a gesture that demonstrates continuity, sensitivity, and attention towards those experiencing difficult situations.
Among the most suggestive events, the exhibition of cars in the centre of Montale, at the invitation of the Montalesi Merchants Association, transformed the streets of the town into an open-air museum.
Also unforgettable was participation in the Olympic flame parade, a symbolic moment that united sport, history, and community.
Also noteworthy is the exhibition at the National Gallery in favor of LILT, an initiative that combined culture, prevention, and solidarity.
The Coordination also took part in “Echoes of Light”, an event organized by Autodemolizioni Dolfi, contributing with its presence to an event with strong social and territorial value.
The traditional Christmas Lunch, which brought together approximately 200 members and their families, was the warmest moment of the year: a chance to reunite, celebrate our achievements, and share the poetry of our friend Mara Rossi, whose words moved and unified us. Another touching moment was the presence of the mayor of Pistoia, Alessandro Tomasi: over the past nine years, thanks to his friendship and support, we have been able to introduce our group to the community every time we visit the city center and Piazza Duomo. At the end of the lunch, we presented him with a commemorative plaque from our Coordination Committee.
This series of initiatives illustrates a vibrant, active Coordination, capable of combining a passion for motors with concern for others. A year that leaves its mark and which paves the way for new adventures, always in the spirit of participation and solidarity.
