The meeting of the Club's Board of Directors was held at the headquarters last weekend. About forty people were present, including managers, regional representatives, trustees and staff, to address a substantial agenda. The work began at 14 pm on Saturday and continued until the evening, then resuming on Sunday morning with the involvement of the Ligurian trusteesA surprise visit from Lamezia Terme City Council member Agostino Strangis.
As usual, space was given to the analysis of the trend of the membership, emphasizing the importance of understanding the reasons that drive members to choose not to renew their membership (financial reasons, seniority, transfer of the vehicle to a third party, etc.) in order to better foster their loyalty. This is despite an increase in membership, a sign of the collective commitment to reaching as many Cinquecento enthusiasts as possible.
With Samantha Simone of the Secretariat and the accountant Luca Baldini we then faced the exam of the 2024 Budget, which has been approved and which you can find on the next page. Baldini and the Club's lawyer Eugenio Fuscà also addressed the delicate issue of the requirements for obtaining the legal personality for our association, which is currently underway. We remind you that this would provide greater guarantees and financial and legal protection for the association against third parties (from organizations to suppliers).
Carlo Giuliani was responsible for illustrating the changes underway in the management of ASI practices, starting with the new definition for technical commissioners (who have become Club representatives), with a particular emphasis on the care and rigor that already characterize us. The section dedicated to trustees was extensive and detailed, examining requests for resignations and new candidacies, underscoring the complexity and commitment these figures put into being close to members. Francesca Caneri reported on the Club's presence on social networks and on the need for a unified communication line, while Roberto De Capitani was responsible for informing on the final stages of the website restyling (with particular attention to the Forum). Stefania Ponzone, in this case in the role of secretary of the Museum, together with Ugo Elio Giacobbe and Silvio Bertolotto (curator and vice-curator) illustrated the activities and news of the “Dante Giacosa”. The greetings of the mayor of Garlenda Alessandro Navone. Closing the evening, Carlo Perino's remarks on the network Friend Point, Enrico Bo on the Technical Commission - Model Register and Antonio Erario on the recent event in Turin organized with the Petronas.
On Sunday morning the meeting resumed with the final points, including the progress report on the work of the new headquarters of the Club and Museum edited by Marco Maglietti, and the report of the 42th Garlenda Meeting Curated by Alessandro Vinotti. Worthy of note is the donation of an original painted Fiat 500, much admired and photographed in Genoa.
