Eng. Claudio Gagliolo from Garlenda came to visit the Museum and brought a very welcome gift, a magnet purchased during a trip to Lourdes and depicting a 500 decorated with photos of the place.
“Wherever you go you always find something that recalls the 500, and that reminds me of my hometown. I wanted to bring this thought to the Club and to Domenico in particular as a sign of our long friendship. Seeing this object so far from home brought back memories of the first rallies, where I actively participated: I registered the first cars for the rally and for the Club.
Looking at the photos in the office I also notice the huge writings that I carved to display the word “Garlenda” on the Palasport during the first events and I remember the fun with Chiambretti and Simona Ventura.”
Domenico comments: “It is with great pleasure that I thank Claudio for his kind thought, which demonstrates the universality of the 500. Claudio has been close to the Club since the beginning, including the convention on the 500 where Dante Giacosa and Giovanni Nasi were guests. He continued for many years to take care of the administrative part of the gathering, contributing with his dedication to the success of the party”.
