The Five Men's Team returns to the Sestriere Hill

by Luca Giai, Journalist for the weekly magazine “La Valsusa”

The Cinquini have returned to the Olympic mountains, bringing color and joy and a bit of nostalgia for the legendary years of the economic boom.

On Sunday, June 29, the 9th Fiat 500 Rally “Il Cinquino nelle Montagne Olimpiche” (The Cinquino in the Olympic Mountains) took place in Sestriere, the highest municipality in Italy. The rally was organized by Renato Breusa, representative of the Susa Valley Coordination Committee, and was sponsored by the Fiat 500 Club Italia.

About forty cars drove up to the hill, travelling along the roads of the Via Lattea Olympic Mountain Union.

Renato Breusa expressed his gratitude: "It's been three years since we've driven the Cinquini up to the Alta Valle di Susa. It was a success, and I thank the crews who chose to be with us. A special thanks to the organizations, municipalities, and Pro Loco (local tourist board) that provided their support. A special thanks to AM Tekno Care, the official MAFRA dealer, who participated in the event throughout the day, handing out invaluable gadgets for our classic cars. The stops in Val Argentera, Brusa del Plan, and Via Roma, Cesana Torinese, were particularly appreciated during the tour."
