These days in Garlenda the “500 party” is taking place, the biggest event dedicated to the iconic five-car series.
As soon as you set foot in the town, you are immersed in a magical atmosphere. Among the first works you encounter, in the dune park, there is a skip for waste recovery, decorated with a green silhouette of the 500. The work was created by Baseco srl thanks to the collaboration of the Zerovolume Cultural Collective.
This is the #500PicPoint, the point where Cinquecento drivers can stop and, thanks to a convenient ramp, load their 500 onto the cargo bed to take a souvenir photo and post it on social networks using the hashtag #500PicPoint.
“The initiative aims to raise awareness of waste recovery and recycling, to respect our world and guarantee a better future for our children,” explains Silvestro Catelli, CEO of Baseco Srl.
Enrica Fracchia Morelli, vice president of Zerovolume, expresses the artistic vision of the installation: to make the 500 a myth, a traveling and itinerant work. This is just the beginning of the project “ArtTruck, you will hear about it”.
Once the rally is over, the skip will be put on the road and used for waste collection, continuing its important task of awareness and cleaning.
Green Up Srl, A2A Energia SpA, 2T Incisioni, Artender di Alessandro Scarpati, De Leo Escavazioni, and the Municipality of Garlenda are also partners in the project.
