Germany, France, Belgium, Estonia, United States, New Zealand, Japan, Malta, Poland, Hungary, Holland, Denmark, Switzerland, Bosnia, England… the list of countries to which the visitors belong of the 500 “Dante Giacosa” Museum in Garlenda is increasingly longer and more varied.
Not counting the International Meeting at the beginning of July, with at least a couple of thousand Cinquecento enthusiasts and curious people taking advantage of the three days of continuous opening during the event, throughout the year the Museum is a constant destination for enthusiasts, with a significant prevalence of foreign visitors, usually individuals or families, but also entire groups, such as French clubs 3AC e “The Universal Traction”, who have chosen to stop in Garlenda as part of their tours of our area.
Among the visitors of this mid-July, we would like to point out a beautiful and young family, composed of Cyprian Iwuc with his wife Margaret and their little son Oliver, who divide their time between Poland and Malta, the island where the Classic Fiat 500 Group, a foreign partner association of the Fiat 500 Club Italia, is active. Cyprian spoke with the staff to tell them about his as many as seven 500s, including an Abarth and a 1957 “fixed glasses”, and reiterated a concept very dear to enthusiasts of the small twin-cylinder: “When you see famous and important vintage cars, of course you admire them and think about their economic value, but the 500 is the only one capable of making people smile”.
We remind you that the “Dante Giacosa” is open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm and from 15pm to 18pm, and on Saturdays from 9am to 12pm. The Museum also welcomes groups (upon reservation). museo@500clubitalia.it), including school groups and children/young people attending the summer campsJust today, Monday, July 21st, the young participants in the one from nearby Villanova d'Albenga came to visit us. After all, thanks to the "Dante Giacosa," people of all ages and in all seasons can appreciate the historic small car that made Italy motorized!
