On Sunday, September 7, 2025, Acerenza opened its doors to members of the Fiat 500 Club Italia, the protagonists of an unforgettable event that combined engines, history, and conviviality.
The initiative, entitled “Acerenza in 500” and organised with great enthusiasm and dedication by Coordination of Gravina in Puglia, attracted numerous enthusiasts and fans of the famous "cinquino" from various municipalities and districts in Puglia and Basilicata, such as Cassano delle Murge, Andria, and Potenza and its province. The iconic vehicles, symbols of Italian design and postwar mass motorization, brightened the streets of the Lucanian town, attracting curious onlookers and tourists.
The exhibition of vehicles aroused great interest and wonder: it was possible to admire numerous models Fiat 500s, dating back to various years of production, each with its own unique features and charm. From classic models to customized ones, in a variety of bright and vibrant colors, the cars have transformed Acerenza into an open-air museum, testifying to the sentimental and historical value this car continues to represent for thousands of enthusiasts.
The success of the initiative was also made possible thanks to the support of the Pro Loco of Acerenza, which guaranteed guests a warm welcome and a guided tour of the town's iconic landmarks. From the quaint alleys of the center to the majestic Cathedral, up to the panoramic views overlooking the valley, the participants had the opportunity to explore an area rich in charm and authenticity.
But beyond the beauty of the cars and the attractiveness of the local heritage, the day had another great protagonist: the spirit of sharingThose present, united by their shared passion for the Fiat 500, shared moments of friendship, stories, smiles, and anecdotes related to their beloved car.
The event concluded with great satisfaction from everyone: organizers, participants, and residents. Special praise goes to the Gravina in Puglia Coordination Committee for their dedication and passion, which made possible a day that will live on in the memories of those who experienced it... all in a Fiat 500.
