July 27, 2025 – The Fiat 500 Parade is a Success

To the great satisfaction of organizers Aldo De Corso and Rosanna Nista (his wife), representatives of the local Pro Loco, and of course myself, the Benevento representative of the Fiat 500 Club Italia, the curtain has fallen on the event that thrilled the hearts of motoring enthusiasts of the iconic vintage Fiat 500s. The approximately 80 vehicles from various locations, each with its own history and timeless charm, filled the main square, transforming it into an open-air museum.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement from the early hours of the morning, when the organizing team set out to welcome the small, large cars, all gleaming with attention to detail. They attracted the attention of onlookers and visitors, many armed with smartphones to capture the mesmerizing spectacle. The owners shared anecdotes and passions, creating a friendly atmosphere.

After the rally, the colorful procession embarked on a short journey to the nearby town of Molinara. Here, the 500s were warmly welcomed by the local community, particularly by Mayor Giuseppe Addabbo, who expressed his appreciation for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of events that celebrate the region and its traditions. The meeting with the mayor was a moment of exchange and celebration, strengthening the bond between two-wheel enthusiasts and local government. Before the meeting concluded, the mayor signed a special dedication in the "golden book" of the Benevento City Coordination Committee, receiving a commemorative plaque from the Fiat 500 Club Italia, with the promise to meet again in the future for new initiatives.

The day concluded at a well-known local restaurant, with music by DJ Antonio and entertainment by the talented Daniela Rettore of the Caserta Coordination Committee. A relaxing and enjoyable moment that enriched an unforgettable day. Before lunch, my wife, Franca Chiusolo, read the "Preghiera del cinquecentista" (Prayer of the Cinquecentist). At the time, the regional representative Domenico Filippella was on the phone and praised the initiative. Before the farewells, the Fiat 500 Club Italia plaque was presented to the mayor of San Marco dei Cavoti, Angelo Marino, who kindly thanked the organizers. Before the event closed, the organizers presented the club's certificates and pennants to the various associations and to the family of Nicola Rossi, a great Fiat 500 enthusiast who recently passed away.

The vintage Fiat 500 rally in San Marco dei Cavoti remains an unmissable event for enthusiasts of the genre, an event that every year successfully combines the timeless beauty of these vehicles with the discovery and appreciation of the local cultural and landscape heritage. It's a success we promise to repeat in the future, with the unmistakable roar of these small, great glories on four wheels.
