“The car of emotions” - Discovering the small great car that helped Italians grow

The Museum can be visited by children and young people of all ages, adapting the times and methods of visits to the needs of each individual group/class. The friendliness of the 500 intrigues and entertains the little ones, attracted by its small size and rounded shape, while the more technical aspects and social implications of the impact of this vehicle on Italians in the second half of the last century can be the subject of in-depth study for high school and professional institute students.
At the end of the visit, upon request, workshops can be held to: a) colour and build an origami 500 or draw your own ideal 500 (Kindergarten-Primary school); b) draw your own 500 or an imaginary road sign (Secondary school 1st day); c) debate and written reflection on the role of the car yesterday and today/mini photographic contest on the most interesting detail (Secondary school 2nd day).
Additional or different activities may be agreed upon from time to time.
Given the space available at the Museum, the visit is recommended for small groups (max 20-25) and has a total duration of approximately 1 hour, excluding any in-depth sessions and workshops.

The Museum is available to provide advice for school papers, degree theses and in general any type of in-depth study to be carried out by students of all levels. We can also contribute to research and surveys. Naturally, we suggest that those interested organize a visit, also to consult the publications in our library/newspaper library, but if it is not possible to come in person, we can arrange to send material or respond to questionnaires/interviews (also by our experts on specific topics, especially technical ones).
Anyone who has already written a thesis, a research or any other work dedicated to the Fiat 500 and would like to share it with us, can send us a copy, which will become part of the Museum archive.

In-depth study on road safety education

The Museum is also a Documentation Center for Road Education because it has set among its objectives the encouragement of correct behavior behind the wheel, so as to experience every journey with serenity and in full compliance with the rules. For this reason, in 2010, we enthusiastically joined the first Road Safety Day, an event that then developed over time thanks to the valuable collaboration with the Highway Police and numerous local bodies and associations. We then came to extend the event over several days and to establish the “Crescere Sicuri” Award, assigned to people and organizations that have particularly distinguished themselves in promoting these issues.

Engaging interactive lessons, bike or pedal-kart tours, tests on Police and Public Assistance vehicles, first aid lessons and of course a visit to the “Dante Giacosa” are all part of the program of an event that has involved thousands of children and young people over the years.
