A Competition for the ASI Mascot

Luca Gastaldi
ASI press office manager

The Youth Commission of the Automotoclub Storico Italiano is promoting the competition entitled “Character Design: create it for ASI”: an initiative that has the dual objective of bringing young people closer to and involving them in the reality of historic motoring and of creating the Federation's new mascot.

logo_asi_disegno.pngSpecifically, the contest is aimed at those “under 40” – who are enrolled or have a degree in architecture, design, graphics and art – for the creation of a fictional character (“character design”) that will be the protagonist of future ASI events, especially those for young people.
The selected Character Design will be reproduced in the most varied forms (roll-ups, inflatables, gadgets, etc.) and sold to the ASI Federated Clubs: the proceeds will be donated to solidarity initiatives, a core value of the Automotoclub Storico Italiano.

The graphic proposals – which must be combined with an invention name and submitted by June 11, 2021 – will be examined by a commission composed of Alberto Scuro (ASI president), Paolo Pininfarina (ASI vice president), Agnese Di Matteo (ASI federal councilor), Costanzo Truini (president of the ASI Youth Commission), Francesca Dalli (ASI Youth Commission), Felice Graziani (ASI Marketing and Communications Manager), Salvo Manuli (expert in art graphics), Daniela Sangiorgio (expert in visual arts and curatorial studies) and Mirko Ronzoni (target).
The author – or authors – of the chosen “character design” will be awarded a contribution of 1.000 euros.
All the information and forms for the competition are published on the website www.asifed.it.
