Garlenda, the Multimedia Museum of the 500 enthusiastically welcomed the visit of the Schmied family, coming from Metzingen, Germany, but with a special connection to Italy.
Sandra Papavero, of Italian origins, specifically from the province of Cosenza, recounted how her passion for the Fiat 500 became part of her family life. During one of their frequent visits to Calabria, Sandra and Stefan purchased a Fiat 500, which Sandra's uncle trucked to Modena. From there, the couple reached the Emilian city on a trailer to take the small car to their home in Germany.
Today, the Fiat 500 is a true jewel, lovingly cared for: Stefan drives it only on sunny days, and his daughters Lara and Laura are deeply attached to it.
This time, instead of heading to Southern Italy as usual, the Schmieds chose to visit the 500 Museum in Garlenda, to experience firsthand the history and culture surrounding the legendary Italian small car. Their visit was a moment of sharing and passion, demonstrating once again how the Fiat 500 can unite generations and transcend borders.
